American Downhiller 2019 – Day 2

Schedule a downhill, or in this case a downhill camp, you’ll inevitably get some weather. Today we woke up to a Mammoth gale and 6 inches of new snow but set out to take advantage of the challenging conditions. With consistent high winds, and flat light we were not able to put gates in the ground, however the early morning free skiing was on point and as the visibility got better we hopped into the “Wave Track” for some terrain elements.

The focus remained on balance, terrain, and gliding and the athletes accepted the challenge throughout the day. Here are a few visuals.
